Sindra van Yssel made an interesting BDSM story even more so by adding a paranormal element to Dark Xanadu. It's not quite apparent how Kent came to be somewhat of a vampire hunter or how he learned they existed in the first place. But it is apparent that he lived in L.A. and after a run-in with a particularly vicious vampire in the area, his only choice is to move far away to avoid detection and his own demise. So he settles on the east coast, starting his own BDSM club as his sexual proclivities run to the power exchange of D/s. Somehow able to tell when someone is human and when they're vampire is a gift, and when he notices a vampire at a bar trying to come on the beautiful Angela, he steps in to save her, never expecting they'd become Dom and sub.
